Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of iconRead. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. Short version: bring your own content, be decent, and we'll both treat each other's work with respect.

1. The service

iconRead turns videos, texts, photos of text, and voice recordings into picture-supported language-learning material. Some features are free with daily limits; Premium raises those limits for a monthly fee; the partner programs reward you for bringing new readers.

2. Your account

You need an account for most features. Keep your credentials to yourself, give us a working email address, and be at least 13 years old (or the digital-consent age where you live). You are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time from your Profile page.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you post. So that the service can work, you grant iconRead a non-exclusive license to host, process, and display your content — including processing it through the third-party AI services described in our Privacy Policy (text recognition, transcription, narration, word-sense analysis).

  • Video posts embed YouTube videos and are public. Post only links you have the right to share; playback happens through YouTube and is subject to YouTube's own terms.
  • Text, photo-text and voice posts are private to your account.
  • Post nothing illegal, infringing, hateful, or sexually explicit involving minors — we remove such content and may terminate the account.

If you believe content on iconRead infringes your rights, contact us (section 10) with the details and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it.

4. Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service: no spamming the public feed, no fake accounts or fake referrals, no circumventing quotas or rate limits, no scraping or reselling the content database, no interfering with the service's operation, and no using it to violate any law.

5. Premium

Premium is a monthly subscription billed by Stripe or PayPal at the price shown on the subscribe page. It renews automatically until you cancel; cancel any time and Premium stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are not refunded for partial periods.

6. Partner programs

The Referrer, Promoter, and Marketer programs are governed by their own agreements, shown and accepted when you join a program on the partner page. Those agreements control if they conflict with these terms on program matters.

7. AI output

Text recognition, transcription, narration, word-sense choices, and word images are machine-generated and can be wrong. They are learning aids, not authoritative translations or advice.

8. Termination and changes

You may stop using iconRead at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and may change or discontinue features (including limits and prices, prospectively) with notice on this page or by email. We may update these terms; continued use after notice means acceptance.

9. Disclaimers and liability

iconRead is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
